SPRING
2005
Well,
the show outdoor season has started here in Calgary with much excitement after
what always seems like a long winter.
St. George's Stables attended the Cottonwood Classic on May 8th with a trailer
full of eager riders. We all faired very well, with the highlight of the
day being the Precision Drilling Grand Prix.
Congratulations
to Alex Grayton and his Danish gelding Chaco with a big win!!! This pair was
spot on and a very deserving victory!!
Selena
Selinger and Optiemist were super fast in the jump off but pulled a rail for 4
faults and finished in 2nd place. Andrew More and his longtime mount The
Sophisticate, had an unlucky rail and finish 3rd. Kelly Ormond capture 6th
position.
It
was a great outing, and a great prep for the outdoor shows to come. Thanks
goes to Debbie Garside for putting on such a nice show.
Next
on the calendar will be the spring classic at Spruce Meadows.....stay tuned for
all the details.....
FALL
2004 ARIZONA!!!!!!!
St. George's
Stables kicked some serious butt south of the border at two shows in
Arizona. The Tucson Fall Classic and the Arizona Season Finale (in
Scottsdale) took place in mid-November. The horses traveled down in fine
style in the new St. George's tractor-trailer. Cast and crew
included: Frank and Selena with their horses Optiemist (O.P.), Mr. Bean
and Pacman, Alexander Grayton and his steed Chaco, Monica Cosentino with
Speechless and Caiman Bleu and Kelly Ormond traveled down with Xavier and
Blueberry Hill Z. Andrew More showed Nestor in the Hunters and captured
the Championship in his division. As always, Andrea Shaw was keeping
things moving back at the barn.

The
first week results in Tucson were off to a great start with Frank leading the
charge with a win in the $7500 Mini-Prix with Mr. Bean and consistent placings
in the Level 4 Jumpers with Pacman . Keeping it in the family, Selena
competed in her first Grand Prix and had a great showing with a mere four
faults. Alex and Chaco captured a second place in the Level 6 Jumpers, a
fourth in the Open Stake, a fifth in the Open Speed and capped things off with
only four faults in the Grand Prix. Monica had consistent placings in the
Level 2 Jumpers and Children AA Jumpers capturing seconds and thirds with
Speechless and Caiman Bleu. To cap things off for the week, Kelly Ormond
had consistent placings in the Level 5 with her mount Blueberry Hill Z and
captured a first place with her new steed Xavier.

competitive Grand Prix. Monica continued her strong showing consistently
