Derby 2025
Join us during RMSJ's Mid Summer Classic I tournament for our special once-a-year St. George's Derby on Friday, July 11. Whether you are competing or spectating, Derby Day is always filled with community, friendship, entertainment, excellent food and drink, and fun! Thanks to our amazing community, we were able to raise $50,000 for the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation on Derby Day 2024. Entries to participate this year close June 23, 2025. We have been hard at work planning to make Derby Day extra special for all of our competitors and spectators this year! New for this year - Competitors can expect more fantastic prizes from our sponsors than ever before, swag bags for everyone entered, both competitor and trainer door prizes, and more new jumps. Riders can also look forward to all of the things we know and love about the St. George's Derby: great prize money, complimentary breakfast, beautiful ring, fun courses, and something for everyone with divisions from .90m to 1.20m.
New for everyone this year: Local vendors, swag, silent auction, and 50/50 draw. As always, the St. George's Derby is held to raise charity for the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, in memory of CEO Frank Selinger's late son, Josef Olaf Selinger.
